Amboise, Loire Valley, 16"x20"

While studying abroad in college, my roommate and I spent our 10-day spring break in France, and she wanted to take a day and see some castles in the Loire Valley. We only had time to visit one village, and she chose Amboise. Walking through the streets aimlessly, we happened upon a bridge where I took this photo of a river and a weeping willow. It was hazy and lovely, and while most people go to the Loire Valley for their wineries, I will remember it as being sweet and quiet and filled with paving stones.
