I've been working on this collection since the beginning of the year. Flowers are one of my favorite subjects to paint, and I wanted to create a collection of larger florals that felt very soft and organic, allowing for an interplay between subject and background. Each piece is comprised of many layers of paint, neocolor crayon, and paper on top of wooden panel.

The Depth of Light
There are 12 pieces, each with their own personality: some light, some bright, some moody. Each will make a beautiful, timeless statement in any space.
The titles reflect memories and feelings of good days and hope - a beautiful reminder of peacefulness during these often stressful times.
Small Things Brought Together
Update: The collection has sold out - thank you! You can view my available work here.

Recently I visited the house and gardens at Dumbarton Oaks, an historic estate hidden away in residential Georgetown in Washington, D.C. I was awe-struck by the grounds, so tree-covered among the hills that you forget you're not in the middle of the countryside!

I took several weeks in June and July and experimented with acrylics on raw canvas for the first time. I mostly work on wooden panel and paper in my current practice, and it's been years since I worked on canvas.
