I am thrilled to share my first PAPER series with you all!

Floral Variations on a Theme is a collection of 10 works of acrylics on heavy 22"x30" watercolor paper.

For my second stint at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in July, I wanted to focus on experimenting with color and line; so I created a series all based on the same floral arrangement, allowing me the freedom to play with other aspects of the painting rather than finding/creating new subjects for each new piece.

The pieces are all available unframed and will be shipped flat, not rolled.
I did a little photo shesh with the first few pieces from the series in early August with Anna Meyer Photo at Common Room Studio in Alexandria, Virginia. I LOVE this space and I can't get over how great the photos turned out!!

Update: The collection has sold out, but you can view my available work here.

Recently I visited the house and gardens at Dumbarton Oaks, an historic estate hidden away in residential Georgetown in Washington, D.C. I was awe-struck by the grounds, so tree-covered among the hills that you forget you're not in the middle of the countryside!

I took several weeks in June and July and experimented with acrylics on raw canvas for the first time. I mostly work on wooden panel and paper in my current practice, and it's been years since I worked on canvas.
